Have you ever tried to access a website, but kept getting a "not found" or "DNS Error" message, even though other websites come up just fine on your computer? There's a way to check if it is just you having the problem, or if the site is having issues. Go to http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and type in the address you want to access. If something is wrong, it will tell you.
That said, one disclaimer: Although I tried it out on quite a few sites and found it pretty accurate, a couple of relatively obscure sites on hosted free servers couldn't be recognized by this service. Other than that, it worked really well.
